Portugieser was born in the late 1930s, following a request from a Portuguese merchant to develop a high-precision watch. Because the large movement is incorporated, the watch itself will necessarily be finished in a large size, but the IWC simply does not end there. In pursuit of simplicity, needles and indexes with excellent design and visibility, a large dial that makes use of the case size by making the bezel as thin as possible, and a case design that eliminates any waste, classical beautiful that does not feel its size I'm finishing it into a watch. Portugieser means Portuguese in English, which is the exact name of the model.
