This is a reprint of the model produced in 1936. The most distinctive feature is the California dial (aka unique dial) with Roman numerals in the upper half and Arabic numerals in the lower half. Unlike other models, there is no brand name or model name, and OFFICINE PANERAI's "OP logo" dial design stands out.

It is a self-winding movement developed in-house, equipped with the "P.4000" caliber that uses a micro-rotor made of tungsten alloy. The case design of Radiomeal 1940 is similar to Radiomeal and is different. The major difference is the shape of the lugs and crown. Instead of the wire loop type used in Radiomir, a thick lug like Luminor is used. The crown has been changed from a cone to a cylinder and features a design like a combination of radiomeal and luminol.
