Pilot watchPILOT WATCH
Pilot watches have been developed for pilots who need to accurately determine the time. We needed a timepiece that accurately ticked the time even under changing atmospheric pressure and had good visibility. At the time, as the development of airplanes progressed, the need for wristwatches that could easily check the time when operating an airplane with both hands became acute. In other words, the history of pilot watches was with the history of airplanes. In 1948, Mark 11 was born, the first in a series of marks that continues today. It was issued to a Royal Air Force pilot and worked for a long time. The distinctive design of the triangle index at 12 o'clock is a functional one for instantaneously recognizing the hand position even while operating an airplane, and is still alive with current models. The black dial with luminous paint hands and indexes is called cockpit design and has been established as a representative style for pilot watches. The large conical crown used in the Big Pilot's Watch is designed to be easily adjusted and rolled up while wearing gloves. These details are the reason why they are still instructed. We have a lot of used IWC used, such as the representative of such a pilot watch.
