Small Clock Town	In 1875, Jules-Louis Audemars and Edouard-Auguste Piguet established a watchmaking workshop in Le Brassus, a small town in the Vallée de Joux, known as the "Watch Valley" in northern Switzerland, where the watch industry is thriving. In 1882, they released the Grande Complication, the world's first super-complex watch equipped with a split-second chronograph, minute repeater, alarm, and other features, and have since released many world-first mechanisms. Even in 1970, when the Swiss watch industry was being influenced by Japanese quartz watches, the company remained a thoroughly family-run business run by Jasmine Audemars and Olivier Audemars, the great-granddaughters of the two founders, and has remained an independent brand free from external influences to this day.
A great partnership	Since its founding, the brand has actively partnered with various celebrities and athletes to deepen inspiration and spread the brand's values. The brand has partnered with Team Alinghi, which competes in the famous America's Cup yacht race, and Italian car manufacturer Maserati, and has welcomed Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lionel Messi, and Michael Schumacher as ambassadors. In 2020, the brand partnered with Ralph & Russo, a British royal warrant holder, to launch a collection model. The two companies were united by the commonality of the brands' shared family-run, independent spirit and pursuit of innovation.
"1000 years"	The Millenary, which means "1000 years," was born to commemorate the millennium year of 2000. It features an oval case inspired by the Colosseum, a world heritage site in Rome. The early Millenary models featured three hands and a high level of design, using bezel diamonds and opals on the dial. Initially, Millenary was focused on design, but in 2011, the Millenary 4101 was released, which placed importance on the movement. This allowed the movement to be seen from the back cover and dial side, which had a major impact on the Millenary collection that followed. In order to create a movement that looks beautiful from both sides, the part called the "balance wheel," which is the heart of the watch, is placed at the 9 o'clock position, and a special design is used to reverse the movement.
Tradition and innovation in harmony	Audemars Piguet watches are handcrafted by skilled craftsmen, just as they were at the company's founding. The luxury watches are produced in small quantities, taking several months to produce each one, with the skills and passion that have been passed down from generation to generation, and they continue to hold the highest status. In addition, the movement usually becomes larger when a watch is equipped with a complex mechanism such as a perpetual calendar or tourbillon. However, Audemars Piguet, which does not tolerate any compromise in functionality or design, has pursued the miniaturization and thinning of the movement, successfully developing a 7.8mm perpetual calendar model and a 4.8mm tourbillon model, and continues to innovate with an insatiable spirit of inquiry.
