1875 One of the founders, Jules-Louis Audemars, established a watchmaking workshop in Le Brassus, Switzerland.
1882 Together with the other founder, Édouard-Auguste Piguet, he founded Audemars Piguet. In the same year, he developed the world's first complication pocket watch.
1885 Following London, agents were opened in Paris, New York, Berlin and Buenos Aires.
1888 Founding of a subsidiary in Geneva.
1889 At the World's Fair held in Paris, the Grand Complication pocket watch was unveiled, featuring a three-hand function, perpetual calendar, chronograph, and more.
1892 The world's first wristwatch equipped with a minute repeater is born.
1907 The first manufacture was established next to the atelier, which is now the brand's headquarters.
1915 Launch of the world's smallest five-minute repeater movement.
1918 The founder's two sons take over the business, with Paul-Louis taking over as chairman and technical manager.

2006 The Audemars Piguet escapement is announced, the world's first unique mechanism that does not require lubrication.
2007 We have announced a new, ultra-lightweight, ultra-hard material called "Forged Carbon."
2009 Audemars Piguet unveils the latest version of its escapement, boasting a frequency of 43,200 vibrations per hour.
