[Divers Officine Panerai for the Italian Navy] A diver's watch "Radiomir" developed for the Italian military in 1936. Its high waterproofing technology was granted by Rolex and got its name from Radium, which was used as a luminous paint. The crown cover, which came later on, is one of the features of the current Panerai, further enhancing the waterproofing technology.

The crown protector is engraved with the "REG.TM" mark, which is also a feature of the 1950 model, which means that it is a registered trademark (Registered Trade Mark) patented by Panerai.
