king of chronographs	The rubber strap "Oysterflex" was developed and patented by Rolex in 2015. The super-elastic metal blade is coated with black elastomer, providing comfort and flexibility as well as reliability and robustness comparable to traditional metal bracelets. For this reason, the Daytona reigns at the top of the Rolex sports models, and has become a unique and famous model known as the "King of Chronographs" among many chronographs. At the time of its debut, the lineup included a solid gold model in addition to a stainless steel model, but from 1988 onwards, leather belt specifications were added to the 18K yellow gold combination model and solid gold model. Subsequently, a white gold model was added in 2004, a pink gold model was added in 2008, and a platinum model was added in 2013, the 50th anniversary of its birth, creating a rich variety that blends into the fashion scene.
paul newman	Originally, Daytona's race course was a long, narrow oval with a sunken section that spanned the beach and coastal road. From 1959, it was paved entirely with asphalt and was newly named ``Daytona International Speedway.'' The Cosmograph Daytona, which appeared in 1963, attracted celebrities who were crazy about car racing from the late 1960s. Paul Newman, who was not only an actor but also a successful car racer who led his own racing team, also wore a Daytona during races. He was such an impressive figure for Daytona that in the 1980s, collectors called this model "Paul Newman" because of the contrasting color-coded chronograph scales on the outer periphery of the dial.
cosmograph	The brand's first chronograph debuted in 1933 under the name "Cosmograph." The dial is equipped with a tachymeter that calculates the average speed over a certain distance, a telemeter that measures distance, and a pulse meter that measures pulse rate. In 1939, it evolved into an updated model with a robust waterproof Oyster case and a hand-wound movement known for its reliability and accuracy. 1955: Introducing a model with only the word "chronograph" written on the dial. It didn't have the words "Cosmograph" or "Daytona" on it, and although 500 pieces were produced each year, it remained unsold for many days, and could never be called a success.
world's fastest racer	"The first car race was held in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1902, and over the years, fastest records continued to be broken. One of the most successful racers was British racer Malcolm Campbell. In the early 1930s, when he held the fastest record, Campbell always wore a Rolex watch, both on and off the race track. In 1931, Campbell sent a letter of thanks to Rolex and received an Oyster case. He writes that he admires the durability of the product.
