How to read the manufacturing year from the serial number of a Panerai product
We will explain the serial number list of Panerai products. We will explain the products in an easy-to-understand manner even for beginners.
Panerai serial number
The back of each Panerai watch has a case number starting with OP for each model, a serial number which is a combination of two letters and a number (e.g. BB1234567), and the number of pieces produced which is one letter and a number (e.g. G0001/4000).
For example, "M0100/1000" means that it is the 100th of 1000 made in 2010.
By the way, before Panerai joined the Richemont Group, there were no serial numbers, so the watches produced during this period are called Pre-A numbers. Also, limited models produced outside of the regular production are exceptionally assigned a special number called "OOR (OUT OF RANGE)".
