"ORIS" was founded in Hölstein, Switzerland by Paul Kattin and George Christian in 1904. The brand was named after the nearby Oris River. Speaking of Oris, "Red Rotor" (Red Rotor) which is adopted in most automatic winding models. Its red rotor, which can be seen from the see-through back, is a symbol of Oris, which is too famous and trademark registered.
