Omega trivia

Origin of brand name	The 19-line caliber, a high-quality new movement introduced in 1894, was named ``Omega'' (Ω) after the last letter of the Greek alphabet, meaning ``ultimate''. Later, in 1903, the company name was changed to "Omega".
High durability recognized by NASA	It is the only model in the industry that uses a system called a "Co-Axial Escapement" that reduces the friction of parts within the movement and significantly extends the life of the parts. Omega's Speedmaster Professional is also the official equipment of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA.
Official timekeeper of the Olympics	Omega was commissioned by the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics to serve as the official timekeeper for 28 of the games. I was also in charge of the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Appeared in the popular spy movie “007” series	The Seamaster first appeared in the story in 1995. Since then, it has been used by the main character, James Bond, in all his films.
