Millenary Trivia
Hidden specialty collection | Audemars Piguet is one of the world's three largest brands. When you hear the name, the collection that comes to mind is "Royal Oak." However, Audemars Piguet has a collection of hidden gems. That's Millenary. The Millenary was announced as a commemorative model to celebrate the year 2000. The design is said to have been designed and manufactured by Audemars Piguet designer Ottavio Garcia from the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. The main feature of this watch is its oblong oval case, and the balance wheel and dial are arranged in a very beautiful and well-balanced manner. This collection has become a popular piece of art, where you can check the watch while looking at the beautiful dial. Cal.4101 | There is a model that was announced in 2011 and instantly became the face of the Millenary. That is Millenary 4101. Equipped with a Millenary-specific movement, this new model has a unique feature not found in other models: the movement of the movement can be seen through the dial. There are not many watches where you can see the movement of the movement from the dial side, let alone from the back side. The newly developed movement, Cal.4101, was created by Naohiro Hamaguchi, who was the head of the movement design section at the time. The escapement is placed at the oval-shaped 9 o'clock position with the escapement visible on the front side, contrary to the usual design, and the asymmetric design has a dial at the 3 o'clock position. |
