In 1874, Georges Edouard Piaget set up a workshop on his family's farm, dedicated to producing high-quality components and high-precision movements that adhere to the ideal of always making more than necessary. In the 1920s, under the leadership of his son Timote Piaget, he transformed from making movements to becoming a manufacturer of premium pocket watches and watches. In 1943, Piaget registered the trademark and in 1960 introduced the 12P, the world's thinnest automatic movement. Piaget also has a unique atelier specializing in goldsmithing and jewelery setting in Geneva, successfully integrating high jewelry and watchmaking into a quintessential luxury brand.
