Louis Ulysse Chopard (1836-1915) was born as son of a farmer in Sonvillier and quickly became famous in Switzerland and around the world at the age of 24. As a watchmaker, he created a watch with a novel design that could be described as a work of art. He quickly expanded his sales channels overseas and gained prominent customers, including the court of the Russian emperor Nikolai II. In the 19th century, watches with excellent precision and reliability were popular among people. Today, Chopard is a family-run company and is co-presidented by two brothers of the Scheufele family. We keep valuable know-how and tradition in high jewelry, movement and various departments and continue.
