HISTORY Bvlgari Chronology

1884	Silversmith Sotirio Bvlgari founds a jewelery boutique in Rome.
1905	Moved to Via Condotti near the current head office, Plaza España.
1932	Founder Sotirio Bulgari dies.
1940	Introducing the Serpenti Collection.
1969	Released a necklace with emeralds and rubies.
1973	Opened a store in New York and used it as an opportunity to expand into the United States.
1977	Bulgari Bulgari is here.
1980	The Parentesi Collection is here.
1982	Established Bvlgari Time Co., Ltd., which specializes in wristwatch manufacturing, in Switzerland.
1988	Diagono is here.
1991	Entered Japan as an Asian flagship store.
1993	Established Bulgari Perfume in Switzerland.
1999	Be Zero One is here.
2004	Hotel business Started development of Bulgari Hotels & Resorts.
2007	Started selling chocolate under the name of "Chocolate Gems".
2007	Opened Bulgari Ginza Tower with a restaurant and lounge.
2009	Introducing the Sotirio Bvlgari collection in honor of its founder.
2011	Became a subsidiary of LVMH.
